From LA County Locations: Go North on Route 14, 11 miles past Lancaster. Exit at Rosamond. Turn left on Rosamond Blvd.
Then... Go West on Rosamond Blvd approximately four miles to 70th St. West. Turn right at the Kern County Raceway sign. Proceed straight to the end of the paved road, and you are there.
KCR is easily accessible from the Los Angeles area. From Heap-A-Trouble Racing headquarters in Venice, for example, KCR is 85 miles away, and, if you aren't towing a heap, is reachable in under 75 minutes in normal freeway traffic.
Weather Advisory Regular visitors to the area soon learn that it can be quite hot or quite cold, and frequently both, any day of the year. During the summer, it is unlikely to get very cold at night, but it will almost always get cooler than you expect, so, prepare accordingly.
